Here in Canada, Filipinos worked here as permanent and temporary foreign workers. We can also apply for absentee voting in the Philippine Embassy and Consulates.

One law that I think is important for all OFWs is having an insurance. OFWs are required to become a member of Pag-IBIG for retirement. The same implementation could also be applied to having either a term or permanent insurance.
